For the stringent requirements in clean room assembly of sensitive electronic components, the Hand Held Products IMAGETEAM 3800ESD is a perfect scanner. The Hand Held Products IT3800ESD scanner (now Honeywell 3800ESD scanner)is constructed of conductive materials that eliminate the build up of dangerous static charge on the scanner, as well as quickly drain the charge from any other object with which it may come into contact. The Hand Held Products IT3800ESD is clean room ready, triple-bagged for use in a Class 100 clean room environment. The conductive path formed by the case, output connector shield, and special shielded cable with drain wire are also isolated from the Hand Held Products IT3800ESD scanner’s internal components. The scanner is rated for discharges up to 15kV without becoming damaged.

Two models are available: the Hand Held Products IT3800VHD/ESD which is capable of reading very high density bar codes (3mil. and larger) and the Hand Held Products IT3800LR/ESD which is used for more typical applications. The scanner’s sharp and bright aiming line is capable of scanning codes in any lighting condition, tightly stacked bar code sheets, or small, high resolution labels. The Hand Held Products IT3800ESD easily and quickly connects and interfaces to all major PCs and commercial terminals, and features a solid, rugged design with no moving parts as to deliver years of reliable service in demanding work environments. It is backed by a 5 year warranty.
