1) Protocol is the format in which the string of data sent to the PC or host device from the scale. 2) Each scale manufacturer has their own distinct format in which data is sent. 3) The application software within each scale includes other scale manufacturers and older NCI products. 4) The standard default setting is NCI protocol, you can change the protocol of each scale, by simply entering into the diagnostics configuration via the keyboard. 5) Use this feature when replacing Older NCI products or competitors scales in the field, or to connect to a shipping or mailing software that is used by the customer.
