Built to endure, the Unitech PA982 Windows® CE 5.0
portable terminal can handle data collection
applications in almost any harsh environment, from
extreme cold to severe heat, it won’t let you down. The
Unitech PA982 terminal is ideal for food transportation,
military shipyards, airports, harbors, or anywhere else
warehousing or stock control is necessary. It’s internal
heating system and vacuum-sealed enclosure gives the
operator comfort in knowing that no matter where they
are the Unitech PA982 can handle anything that may come,
even complete water immersion.
The Unitech PA982 terminal comes standard with a
double-cell battery pack that will last up to 12 hours,
and with only a 4 hour re-charge cycle scanning downtime
is minimized. There is an optional gun grip version
equipped with a second battery that can increase
operating time up to 20 hours.
Powered by Windows 5.0 Professional Plus and the Intel
Xscale 400 MHz processor, the Unitech PA982 is Bluetooth
enabled which will keep mobile workers in constant
connection even over wide operating areas. Its PCMCIA
type II slot allows for on demand integration using WLAN
or WWAN, or any additional memory card. The Unitech
PA982 comes stock with an alphanumeric, backlit 22-key
keypad that is programmable for one touch operation. The
large rubber keys are perfect for use with or without
gloves. All data is clearly captured on the QVGA color
touch screen that has it’s own adjustable heater to
ensure proper operation even in freezing conditions.
