Like two printers in one
The TallyGenicom 3860D (600 cps) and 3880D (800 cps) serial matrix printers from GENICOM offer a patented, dual paper handling system with auto-switching paper paths. Two sets of 6-pin push tractors are used for rear and front/bottom paper feeding.

The TallyGenicom 3860S (600 cps) and 3880S (800 cps) models are available if you are looking for a single-path alternative. This single paper path serves either front or bottom feed.

The TallyGenicom 3880D and 3880S print at blazing speeds at up to 960 cps (@12 cpi). They deliver worry-free performance in your shared-resource, network printing, or heavy-duty printing applications. Flexible connectivity- changeable as your system migrates
The TallyGenicom 3860 and 3880 can be field converted from one interface type to another to suit your changing systems needs with serial and parallel interfaces. And specific models are equipped with IBM Tx/Cx SCS or IPDS, and/or 10/100 ethernet, or and IGP/QMS graphic languages.

Serial and parallel interfaces are standard with automatic switching between the two.

Features that make tough jobs easier
The TallyGenicom 3860 and 3880 series of printers feature automatic forms thickness sensing and adjustment for up to 7-part forms. Zero-inch tear-off, automatic paper park, automatic top of form, and a paper motion sensor are also standard. There is even a control panel lockout feature to prevent unwanted changes in printer configurations.
