Cables

PDT 8000 Serial Charging Cable
When connected to the terminal's RS-232 port, this 6ft/1.8m cable enables serial communications between the terminal and a local PC or server. In addition the cable enables the terminal's battery to be charged in approximately two (2) hours.

This 4ft./1.2m cable snaps onto the bottom of the terminal and enables the transmission of data between the terminal and a customer's inventory system at the time of delivery.

Cradles

PDT 8000 Single Slot Serial Cradle
This cradle enables communications between the PDT 8000 and a host PC. The cradle also charges the terminal battery and the spare battery stored in the cradle. LEDs indicate when the battery and/or terminal is fully charged.

PDT 8000 Single Slot Modem Cradle
This cradle lets you synchronize your PDT 8000 terminal to a remote PC at 33.6 kbps baud rate using a dial-up connection. The cradle also charges the terminal battery and the spare battery, and LEDs indicate when each battery is fully charged. Slide a switch at the rear of the cradle for serial connectivity.

The vehicle mount cradle has multiple fixed-mount options for the PDT 8000. This cradle allows for serial communication, in-vehicle battery charging, and connectivity to the Symbol Mobile Gateway. The cradle draws power from the vehicle and has a quick release mechanism allowing easy access to the terminal.

PDT 8000 Magnetic Stripe Reader
The snap-on MSR 8000 reads up to three tracks of information and can be programmed to divide, rearrange, edit and validate fields of entered data.

PDT 8000 Snap-on Modem
This lightweight modem snaps onto the RS-232 port at the bottom of the PDT 8000 providing a convenient communications solution that allows for remote synchronization using a standard RJ11 telephone jack. In addition to providing communication at 33.6 kbps, the modem has the ability to charge the terminal battery in approximately two (2) hours.

PDT 8000 Holster
This carrying case with a clip secures the PDT 8000 to a belt.  The holster also has room to hold a spare battery and stylus.

PDT 8000 UBC 2000 Battery Adapter
This device makes the charging of multiple batteries easy and cost effective.  Simply snap the battery into the adapter and slide the adapter into the UBC 2000 charging station. The charging station holds up to four adapters and recharges the battery in approximately two (2) hours.
