 The
Symbol iPOS TX from Symbol Technologies integrates the latest
advancements in point-of-sale transaction systems to reduce your payment
processing costs, improve customer service, and increase sales through
one-to-one marketing right at the checkout counter. The Symbol iPOS TX
gives your customers maximum flexibility in payment optionscredit,
debit or smart cardin a single easy to use device. Tamper proof
security ensures that sensitive data such as credit card and personal
identification numbers (PINs) are protected. And the system provides the
investment protection you need with built-in support for future
applications like IrDA (infrared) transactions via personal digital
assistants (PDAs) and cellular phones. The Symbol iPOS TX was originally
developed by @pos, which was acquired by Symbol in 2002.
Open Platforms for Easy Integration
With the Symbol iPOS TX and its
Windows CE embedded operating system, POS applications can be designed
rapidly with the terminal. Developers will find the operating
environment to be flexible for Symbol iPOS TX integration to the host
