The
Symbol iPOS 3100 transaction system from Symbol Technologies decreases
operation costs by streamlining transaction and back office processing
in retail environments with integrated debit and credit card processing.
The ability to locate any record in a few keystrokes enables credit card
disputes to be resolved quickly, eliminating all the costs and time
previously needed to locate the required paper receipts. And the ability
to process debit cards enables faster transfer of funds, delivering
dramatic savings on credit card fees. Signature capture, a built-in
magnetic stripe reader (MSR), and a virtual PINpad for secure PIN entry
allow data to be saved digitally and stored securely. The Symbol iPOS
3100 was originally developed by @pos, which was acquired by Symbol in
2002.
