The Symbol WT4000 Wearable Terminal Series from Motorola features a rugged and ergonomic
design, which includes an IP54 sealing and the ability to
withstand drops up to 4 ft./1.2 m. This wearable hands-free
computer is able to withstand temperatures as low as -20C.
The wide scanning range of the Symbol WT4000 terminal meets the needs
of many different applications, and the 2.8” color QVGA
display with backlight allows data to be read in any
lighting condition.
The flexible application support of the symbol WT4000 Series
allows for voice-only or text-only applications and
applications requiring a combination of both. Two scanning
options, the lightweight RS409 ring scanner and the
freezer-ready back-of-the-hand RS309, offer support for near
and far scanning and allow for a high level of flexibility.
Mix and match connectors for the Symbol WT4000 make scanning
available on both the left hand and right hand.
The Symbol WT4000 wearable system provides a single scanning
platform able to support many applications. Using the same
device, voice-based and text-based capabilities are able to
be executed. The Symbol WT4000’s ability to read poorly
printed and damaged barcodes adds to the high performance
level. The Symbol WT4000 makes it possible to connect to
virtually any wireless LAN with 802.11 a/b/g always-on WLAN
connections. This allows workers to constantly send and
receive information from the Symbol WT4000 in real-time.
