The Symbol SE 2223 scan engine has that power to expand
your OEM systems. The power packed, multi-pattern scan
engine is ideal for many OEM devices such as kiosks, ATMs,
blood analyzers, and automated medical test and processing
equipment. The Symbol SE 2223 provides the perfect solution
when you need fast accurate scanning.
The high-speed raster pattern of the small Symbol SE 2223 is
optimized for the accurate reading of 1D and 2D symbologies.
"Smart" raster technology ensures fast, efficient capture of
high-density 2D symbols, including PDF417, Micro PDF, RSS
and Composite codes, and those barcodes that are poorly
printed or damaged. The PDF417 is a 2-D bar code that
functions as a high density, high capacity "portable data
file" which provides low-cost access to large amounts of
information without linking to an external database. A
single PDF417 symbol can encode more than a kilobyte of
data—up to 100 times the capacity of a linear bar code of
similar size.
The 650nm bright laser diode of the Symbol SE 2223 provides
high visibility, even in sunlight, and the special "Aim"
modes make scanning easy and intuitive. The Symbol SE 2223
scan engine is available in two versions: standard range and
high density. Both versions support a broad range of
applications such as age verification, back room receiving,
office automation, loyalty cards, and more. The scan engine
is simple serial interface (SSI) compatible.
