The Symbol RS409 offers hands-free scanning in a
ring-style device. The SE955 scan engine provides superior
scanning performance, and is able to read damaged and poorly
printed bar codes. The retro-collective optical design and
bright scan line of the Symbol RS409 ring scanner provides a
wide scanning range of one inch to over four feet,
increasing productivity. The oversized LED light pipe
integrated in the ring scanner enables quick confirmation of
a completed scan.
The exterior of the Symbol RS409 ring scanner has a new housing design
which includes abrasion resistance in the areas more likely
to wear. The die cast zinc scan engine chassis, single board
construction and scan engine isolation provides impact
protection. The ergonomics of the Symbol RS409 scanner
accommodates different hand and finger sizes, and can adapt
to many hand positions. The swivel feature allows the ring
scanner to be switched easily from left to right hand use. A
removable finger strap is completely isolated from the
scanner, allowing each employee to have a personal strap
improving the hygiene of the device.
The Symbol RS409 ring scanner supports Reduced Space
Symbology (RSS) or GS1, which broadens the range of your scanning
capabilities. The scanner uses improved connectors to attach
to WT4000 Series system host, maximizing device flexibility
and host uptime. The Symbol RS409 scanner is also RoHS
compliant.
