Symbol MSP Mobility Software can be used in any sized
building, from small to large. As a single management
system, the software supports many devices, ranging from all
Symbol wireless Infrastructure, to mobile devices to Windows
CE- and Pocket PC based mobile devices. This software is
able to deploy, monitor, track, and transition all devices.
If a malfunction is detected, your are quickly informed to
prevent any permanent damage.
With automatic templates that enable instant configuration,
devices are automatically discovered and categorized. This
reduces the deployment time of some machines from months or
weeks to minutes. With the fault management feature, issues
are easily resolved. If a devices becomes lost or stolen,
the rights are quickly terminated with the help of both the
audit trail and asset management features, enabling them to
be used outside of your control. With the ability to quickly
troubleshoot issues, your employees are able to fix the
malfunctioning devices, helping to decrease the time and
money involved with outside repairs.
The Symbol MSP Mobility Software comes equipped with three
major components: appliance, console, and agents. The MSP
Mobility appliance is the first step, and it comes in two
different options. MSP Lite can support up to 2,000 mobile
devices, while Symbol MSP Enterprise supports 5,000 mobile
devices. These two can be used together, supporting up to
7,000 mobile devices. The Symbol MSP Console is the
web-based user interface that provides the management
system. The Symbol MSP Agent is the part used to collect
monitoring information. With this, you can monitor battery
levels, network statistics, CPU utilization, and
configuration information.
With a full suite of services offered in a 4-step
methodology, setup and self-education time is minimal.
