The Symbol MK 2200 is a multimedia kiosk with a vibrant
6.4 in. (16.26 cm) VGA display, 400 MHz CPU and stereo
speakers, making it ideal for interactive applications
including the use of audio and video. The device kiosk has
an easy-to-use interactive touch screen display and four
programmable function buttons, making it ideal for novice
users. The Symbol MK 2200 kiosk also sports a trim,
ergonomic design with a depth of less than 4 in. (10 cm)
which allows the kiosk to be mounted and placed
strategically through out a store or office.
The Symbol MK 2200 micro kiosk is able to achieve full network
connectivity using either a wireless (IEEE 802.11b) or wired
Ethernet (802.3) network, allowing for flexibility in use.
The micro kiosk is programmed with the Microsoft CE .NET
Operating System and the MK2200 software development kit
allowing for reduced application development time when used
with standard Windows development tools. With the integrated
award-winning scan engine technology, the Symbol MK 2200 is
able to reads all common 1D and 2D bar codes. The kiosk is
also able to support printing with the integrated C, C++,
C#, VisualBasic.Net and browser printing support.
An optional feature of the Symbol MK 2200 kiosk includes a
mag stripe reader, which allows users to swipe a card for
identification and account access.
