The combination of voice and data capabilities with the
Symbol MC9097 mobile industrial computer by Motorola eliminates the need for separate voice and
data devices. Superior sound quality combined with the
onboard iDEN radio delivers strong voice communications,
while also being functionally equipped with Nextel’s
Nationwide Walkie-Talkie, allowing for instant voice
connectivity. The integrated GPS allows for the use of
tracking applications and the 802.11a/b/g WLAN provides the
ability to use the Symbol MC9097 mobile computer within and outside of
office settings.
The Symbol MC9097 computer offers a superior rugged design and with
an IP64 seal rating it is proven to be able to withstand
many drops throughout the working day as well as exposure to
heat, cold, and rain. The Symbol MC9097 offers variations in
scanning, including omni-directional 1D and 2D bar code
scanning, image capture, and a variable range. Superior
power management allowing for longer battery life, modular
field-replaceable keypad options, touch/stylus input, and
easy viewing in any lighting are all integrated into the
Symbol MC9097.
The Symbol MC9097 mobile computer comes equipped with the
Mobility Services Platform (MSP), which enables all devices
to be controlled from a single location. The integrated
624MHz Intel® XScale™ PXA270 processor of the
Symbol MC9097 computer provides enhanced memory architecture
for large data storage. The mobile computer also comes
equipped with Windows® Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition.
