The Symbol LS4278 scanner is designed to deliver exceptional
scanning performance. Users can scan objects at any angle
because of the innovative multi-line rastering scan pattern,
which eliminates the need for exact aim and positioning of
the scanner. The laser line moves vertically during
scanning, allowing accurate capture of all printed bar codes
on the first scan, regardless of quality or size. The
superior motion tolerance of the scanner assures that users
no longer need pause between scans, allowing for more
efficient transactions.
The Symbol LS4278’s multiple on-board interfaces and
universal cables guarantee you’ll be able to use your
scanner with different hosts, while its support for RSS bar
codes provides compatibility with emerging symbologies. And,
since it is Remote Scanner Management (RSM) equipped, the
scanner discovers and upgrades devices from a central remote
location, which allows you to efficiently upgrade devices
from that same location.
The Symbol LS4278 handheld scanner and cradle are designed to
withstand constant use. The scanner’s patented single board
construction eliminates common problems associated with the
interconnection between multiple boards. Able to sustain a
five-foot (1.5m) drop, this scanner has a high level of
durability. Also included in the design are drain points,
which protect sensitive internal electronics from accidental
liquid spills. A tempered glass exit window protecting the
laser is scratchproof, and frequent charging causes no harm
to the body of the scanner.
