Symbol DS6700 Scanner Series scanners are designed with retail
industries in mind. With the ability to support multiple
onboard interfaces and use of universal cables, installation
and integration in simple and allows for easy upgrade and
compatibility in the future. The 360 omni-directional
scanning of the Symbol 6700 Barcode Scanner Series allows for a large range
of scanning, eliminating the need for barcode and scanner
alignment. And with the integrated 1.3 Megapixel imaging,
image capture and bar code scanning proves to be flexible,
with the ability to capture documents as large as 8.5" x 11"
(21.6cm x 27.9cm). The integrated viewfinder ensures the
image is properly captured the first time, making capture
more efficient the first time.
The Symbol DS6700 barcode scanner has the capability to support all
major 1D, PDF, postal and 2D symbologies. With the Symbol
DS6700 Series, the text enhancement technology ensures the
legibility of text in scanned documents. The optional
hands-free Intellistand enables an automatic switch between
hands-free and handheld modes. The DS6700 Scanner Series is also RSM
(Remote Scanner Management) ready, which enables remote
management from a central location.
With the Symbol DS6700 handheld scanner, the need to purchase, manage
and support additional devices, such as digital cameras and
separate bar code scanners for different symbologies, is
erased. The ability to remotely track, deploy and upgrade
Symbol DS6700 Series scanners reduces typical management
costs and the Symbol text enhancement software delivers the
