AR400 RFID Reader from Symbol
Symbol AR400 RFID Reader

Seamless Network Integration and
Real-Time Read/Write of All EPC-Compliant Tags
The AR400 from Symbol Technologies
is a multi-protocol radio frequency identification (RFID) reader that
enables you to gain asset identification and visibility at all critical
designated read zones. It helps you attain improved end-to-end
visibility of goods and assets and facilitates coordination of product
movement across manufacturing plants, distribution centers and your
entire supply chain. Designed to support all electronic product code (EPC)-compliant
RFID tags, the AR400 delivers the operational flexibility and agility
you need to protect your infrastructure investment.
The Symbol AR400 is an industrial-class, fixed reader that provides
all of the RFID and control functions required to power and communicate
with passive RFID tags. It is a high-performance reader with
SNMP-managed networking capability that collects, writes, processes and
communicates information from all classes of EPC RFID tags. The Symbol
AR400 leverages advanced digital signal processing (DSP) to deliver
superior interference management and is optimized to read tags in both
clean and noisy radio environments.
Advanced Features Enhance Data
Collection
The Symbol AR400 reads EPC-compliant
Class 0 (read-only and read/write) and Class 1 tags with an improved
typical dynamic read range of up to 25 feet. The Symbol AR400
architecture also provides best-in-class tag reads per second
performance. The Symbol AR400 offers a rich feature set to further
improve the collection of data that includes tag filtering,
reconciliation, user-defined association and selective visibility.
Rapid Installation with Unsurpassed
Control and Security
Reader installation is fast and
easy with the AR400's configuration setup wizard. This ready-to-connect
network element provides a number of options for connecting to corporate
networks using Ethernet or serial connections. The AR400 also addresses
key security concerns with privilege controls and full traceability of
operator actions.
More than Just a Reader The Critical
Component of Your RFID System Portfolio
The multi-protocol AR400 RFID
reader joins a complete portfolio of Symbol enterprise mobility
solutions that enable organizations to capture, move and manage critical
information to and from every point of business activity. Designed for
industrial use, the AR400 provides advanced data capture to read, write,
process and communicate information from all EPC-compliant passive RFID
tags.
