Basic Edition

For users who just need Seagull BarTender's essential label design and printing features.

Delivers – The most important "core" label design features. Includes all text, graphics and linear bar code support. Supports simple, numeric serialization. Useful for keyboard-supplied label data only.

Leaves Out – Does not offer integration, enterprise message handling, or external data access of any kind. No password protection, VB Script customization, text filtering, job logging, or 2D bar codes. No advanced or custom serialization.

Licensing – Allows unlimited number of local area network users, with licensing based on the maximum number of printers. (Multiple corporate sites require individual licenses.)

Networking and Site-Licensing Requirements for Seagull BarTender Basic Edition Software
Companies often need to use many copies of Seagull BarTender either individually on multiple PCs or shared on a network. Licenses for multiple workstations is as follows:

Seagull BarTedner Professional and Seagull BarTender Basic Editions: Licensing is based on the number of workstations on which Seagull BarTender will be installed, allowing a defined number of users to print to an unlimited number of printers.

Site Licensing is the most cost-effective way to use the Seagull BarTender Professional and Seagull BarTender Basic Editions on multiple workstations. Licenses include a CD (or set of diskettes), standard documentation, and a license for the appropriate number of users. Additional documentation is available for an extra charge.

For the purposes of site licensing, we consider a "site" to be a local shared network, a building or a group of buildings located in a single office park. For the Seagull BarTender Enterprise Edition, each local area network requires a separate license. For licensing at multiple buildings across a wide area network, contact your sales representative.
