| Step 1 |
Loading
the label roll
Push the plastic core holder
gently with your thumb until it snaps out. Place the roll of labels
in the cassette, being sure they will feed toward the front. Push
the core holder back through the center of the roll of label until
it snaps into position. |
 |
| Step 2 |
Lift the
pressure foot and pull out about 4 of the labels. |
 |
| Step 3 |
Return the
pressure foot to its closed position. |
 |
| Step 4 |
Threading the label strip
Remove the first 4 labels from the backing paper. Bend the backing
paper back and thread it over the release pin and under the label
guides as shown in the illustration. |
 |
| Step 5 |
Guide the
backing paper in the track on the button of the cassette. Push down
on the tension release and slide the backing paper under the
serrated edge. Continue feeding the backing paper until it is taut
and the first label is at the dispensing point of the cassette. |
 |
| Step 6 |
Tear off
the excess backing paper. The cassette is now loaded and ready to be
easily inserted and/or removed from the dispenser as needed.
Note: Whenever the cassette is placed in the dispenser, any
excess backing paper must be torn off first. |
 |
| Step 7 |
Installing the cassette
Tilt the cassette forward. Match the arrows on the cassette and
dispenser. Rock the cassette back into position and press firmly
into place.
Note: Excess backing paper must be torn off first. |
 |
| Step 8 |
Applying
Squeeze the handle to advance the label to the application point.
Apply the label by rolling it on with the application roller. A
slight downward pressure while pulling the dispenser back is
sufficient. With a few minutes practice, you will find that it is
possible to apply labels very rapidly. |
 |
| Step 9 |
Removing
the used backing paper
Tear off the used backing paper against the serrated edge whenever
it begins to interfere with the operation of the dispenser. Always
remove used backing paper when removing the cassette from the
dispenser. |
 |
| Step 10 |
Removing
the cassette
Push the button forward to unlock the cassette. Remove it by lifting
it up and rocking it forward to clear the front locking slot on the
dispenser. |
 |
| Step 11 |
Removing
the empty label core
Push the plastic core holder out gently with your thumb and discard
the used core. If you are not installing a new roll of labels
immediately push the core holder back in to avoid possible damage to
the cassette. |
