SATO UVASHIELD®
 UVASHIELD is an ultraviolet ray absorbing coating which inhibits ultraviolet reaction an improves environmental resistance on direct thermal labels. UVASHIELD coating is applied directly to thermal label stock on press during the label manufacturing process.

UVASHIELD Coating Improves:

  • Lightfastness - Inhibits fading and color changes caused by exposure to ultraviolet light.
  • Weatherability - Resists wet weather and sunlight
  • Chemical Resistance - Label Surface can be cleaned with most cleaning agents.
  • Scratch Resistance - Very high abrasion resistance will eliminate accidental print image damage caused by scratches and abrasion.
  • Thermal Head Life - Crosslinked polymerized coating and silicone additive help extend the head life.
