becomes a cost effective labeling solution by providing lower cost

Long Life Printhead
- The SATO
M8459Se incorporates a printhead
designed for long life direct thermal printing. Its warranty and life
expecting are many times the typical industry standards. With a warranty
of one year or two million linear inches and expected life of up to 4
million inches. The increased printhead life will significantly minimize
downtime, further decreasing the total cost of ownership.
Throughput
- The SATO
M8485Se printer set new
benchmarks in label throughput. A new generation RISC processor provides
high performance in label production even when printing directly from
standard Windows® applications.
Memory
- The SATO
M8485Se printer come with a full 18
MB of on-board memory STANDARD! Enough memory for storing multiple
fonts, graphics, formats etc. without the need for optional 4 MB of
Flash memory or an additional 16 MB of PCMCIA memory may be added.
Dimensions
- Designed specifically for integration into automatic print and apply
systems, this compact, one-piece printer requires less than 8.6 inches
of clearance behind the mounting panel. The height, width and location
of mounting holes are identical to the earlier SATO OEM print engines,
making it easy to upgrade to the
SATO M8459Se. Plus the SATO M8459Se
is compatible with the programming commands for the SATO M8400S and the
SATO M8459S, making it a simple drop-in replacement.
Interface Connections
- Choose from one of SATO's standard high-speed, bi-directional Plug-In
Interface Modules: IEEE1284 Parallel, High-Speed Serial (up to 57.6k
bps), or Universal Serial Bus (USB). Also available are optional Plug-In
Interface Modules for Twinax/Coax and Ethernet (10/100BaseT) and
RS422/485.
Reliable
- For reliable performance over extended periods of time, the
SATO
M8459Se was designed as a high-duty
cycle applicator print engine. It is not a repackaged tabletop printer.
A separate rear connector is provided for convenient synchronization of
the SATO M8459Se with the applicator system.
