Opticon RapidGEN™
Application Generator Software

RapidGEN Application Generator software from Opticon allows the user to create powerful data collection applications in a few minutes without the need for programming. The user simply enters parameters for each field prompt, then downloads the parameter file to the Opticon PHL-1600 handheld laser data collection terminal. The terminal displays the prompts and edits the data according to parameters selected for field length and data type. Data can then be easily uploaded in an ASCII text format for database, spreadsheet or host program applications.

Opticon RapidGEN allows users to view data on the Opticon PHL-1600 prior to upload and to obtain the number of records in the upload file. Opticon RapidGEN automatically time stamps transactions and allows for bar code or keypad entry of data in all fields. The PC module runs under Microsoft Windows and features a simple point and click interface for ease of use and support.
