Extreme ruggedness
The Psion 7530 is designed to stand up to the harshest and most extreme environments and deliver the solution 'uptime' that users expect from Psion Teklogix devices. Rated at IP67, the 7530 is protected against dust and temporary water immersion: all at temperatures as low as -22°F (-30°C)! At temperatures that cold, users can easily loose their grip. No problem. The 7530 has a drop rating of 6.5' (2m) to concrete.

Flexibility & integration
Class-leading flexibility and integration is achieved through the use of standards-based software and hardware components combined with robust expansion capabilities. Based on Windows CE .NET and Intel XScale architecture, the 7530 enables seamless application development and integration capabilities. Compact Flash, SD/MMC and Type III PC-Card, along with integrated and external peripheral options, enable scanners, imagers, WLAN (802.11 and Narrowband), WWAN (GSM/GPRS, CDMA), etc to combine to make the 7530 as flexible as the application requires.

Ergonomic
Looks can be deceiving; the 7530 is surprisingly light and well balanced relative to the robust feature set of this extreme hand-held computer. The 1⁄4 VGA sunlight-readable touch screen display, and user-friendly backlit, hard-capped keypad, make using the 7530 comfortable for full-shift use even while wearing gloves.

Optional Rubber Keypad

New optional rubber keypads with epoxy hard cap keys have been added to the keyboard alternatives for the PSION 7530.  These new keypad variants provide improved performance when the PSION 7530 is used in a high humidity environment followed by a "flash" freezing environment.  The new rubber keypads prevent the keys from sticking when the environment involves a quick transition from high humidity and moisture to freezing temperatures.
