SINGLE DOCKING STATION
The Psion Docking Station provides a convenient docking facility for the
Psion HC Range providing two way communications with a host PC and intelligent battery
management.
* PC communication control
* LED indicates battery charge status and communications status
* Simultaneous battery charging and data transfer
* Spare Battery Compartment
The Docking Station has a port at the back designed to accept most
standard HC expansion peripherals. Users may choose from a wide range of peripherals to
suit the requirements of a particular application. These include a RS232/Parallel
interface, modem, thermal printer, bar code wand and scanner (TTL). See other datasheets

Fast Charging |
The Single Docking Station is available in
fast and trickle charge versions taking 1 and 14 to 16 hours respectively for the
exhausted battery to be fully charged. In the fast charge version the handheld battery and
its spare battery are fast charged in turn. Following fast charge, the Docking Station
applies a top up charge to ensure the batteries are fully charged, and then continues to
trickle charge them to ensure that they remain fully charged at all times. A second LED
display shows the charging status of the terminal, helping to avoid accidental removal
before completion |
