The Omal Compact Counter Cache Cassette has all the advantages of the popular existing cassette and more. Developed over a period of two years and building upon 15 years of on the job experience, the Compact Counter Cache Cassette offers a greatly improved 'tried and tested' secure solution of transporting bills or notes, cheques or checks, vouchers and credit card slips from the check-out to the point of reconciliation. Mounted at Point of Sale, merely transfer the media (notes, vouchers) from your till drawer into the cassette. The horizontal method of pushing the media into the cassette eliminates jams and presents the contents flat and ready for counting.

The cassette must be inserted into the Omal Compact Counter Cache unit prior to the deposit of your bills, checks, gift certificates and/or credit card slips. The uniquely designed receptacle with a capacity of 350 currency sized pieces of paper provides temporary and safe storage at Point of Sale during opening hours. After closing time individual register contents can be stored in the cassettes in the overnight safe of your cash office.

The patented pusher action and horizontal storage mechanism maintains a smooth and efficient operating procedure. The unit will receive batch sizes of between 1-20 items in one pass. These currency sized pieces of paper are then horizontally compressed in the internal fashion, creating a neat and carefully stacked pile ready for swift transfer to a Friction Note Counter or Omal Cash Counter for counting.

This not only means its profile is less prominent, obscuring it from view and making it less likely to be seen by potential thieves, but also reduces the opportunity to force removal of the complete unit by minimizing leverage.

The deposit drawer can only be opened for enough to deposit between 1-20 items and then a locking mechanism prevents any further outward movement. Once the items are deposited and the drawer has been closed, it cannot be re-opened until the contents have been plunged into the main unit.

The whole concept of the system makes the unit less prone to manipulation. Cassettes can only be removed using a security keyplate, which in turn seals the contents. Security seals provide a traceable audit trail.

Product Design
