NiceLabel Pocket NiceLabel Windows® CE Label Printing Software
The label printing software for
Windows CE mobile devices
NiceLabel's Pocket NiceLabel enables Windows CE compatible computers
and terminals to print barcode labels on
any type of thermal printer
that is supported by the NiceLabel printer drivers. Labels are
designed in the easy-to-use and full-featured NiceLabel Pro software
on a standard Windows PC.
Label sizes and other options
There are no limitations to
the label size and there are endless options for using elements like
text, graphics, barcodes, lines, etc. on your label design. Designed
labels are transferred to the Windows CE terminal, where the user
can chose the number of labels to print. And if the ability to
communicate via a TCP/IP port, serial or IR communication between
the CE terminal and the printer, Pocket NiceLabel can route print
jobs to the desired printer.
Custom data entry forms
As it does for the existing Windows computers, NiceLabel brings the
power of custom data entry forms and applications to the Windows CE
terminal for label printing. On the basis of your requirements,
number and complexity of label formats, you can design your own
complete custom label printing solution using multiple forms to
achieve your goals. Forms can include label type selection, data
selection, data input fields, menus, etc. All without the need to
learn a custom programming language.
Pocket NiceLabel provides not just an efficient solution for every
barcode labeling need, but also a
reliable and user-friendly Windows CE label printing solution
based on specific customer requirements.
Direct Printing from Windows CE
device
Pocket NiceLabel or Pocket Form can be used to
print a label directly to
the printer using different connectivity options (COM port, IR port,
TCP/IP socket). Values for variable fields can be entered or scanned
prior to printing, label quantity can be set and printer selected.
The print procedure is just the same as with the desktop edition. No
extra learning time is required.
Distributed Printing
Pocket NiceLabel software can
output a JOB file to any shared disk in the Network
Neighborhood (containing NiceCommands to describe the label printing
process) and direct it to a specified TCP/IP socket. NiceWatch, a
centralized automated label printing server, running on a Windows
server, monitoring the socket and does the actual label processing
and printing.
Mobile users from within the enterprise can print a label from any
location to any printer available.
Print engine (ActiveX
programming interface)
Print Engine is a COM object (ActiveX server), which gives other
applications on the Windows CE terminal the ability to
control label-printing functions.
Your Windows CE application can print labels using NiceLabel as the
print server. The developer does not need to worry about embedding
printer code into their application with Print Engine. Labels are
graphically designed and exported in NiceLabel Pro, ready for use on
the Windows CE device.
Controlling label printing functions from a data collection
application on Windows CE has never been easier.
