MicoTouch TouchTekDM touchscreens offer flexibility and economy in applications where mouse-emulation is not required, or when replacement of mechanical buttons and membrane switches with software-enabled buttons is desirable.
The MicoTouch TouchTekDM specifications accommodates on-screen ‘soft' buttons which can be modified, upgraded, or expanded easily in software without changing existing hardware. Additionally, buttons defined by graphics can be printed around the perimeter of the touchscreen, resembling a membrane switch, with a transparent window over the LCD for customizable functions.

MicoTouch TouchTekDM is a cost-effective touchscreen for use in security systems, home control systems, appliance and automotive controls, and industrial equipment.

How MicoTouch TouchTekDM Works
The MicoTouch touchscreen is constructed of two conductive layers, a polyester topsheet and glass bottom layer, each etched to create a grid of rows and columns. Each layer carries four transparent conductive strips, connected by electrodes to four wires per layer, which in turn are connected to controller electronics. Touch compresses the layers, causing current to flow through the rows and columns where the touch occurs.
