premium, the Metrologic MS7180 OrbitCG bar code scanner
combines the power of CodeGate technology with
many of the features already found in the Metrologic Orbit
7120.
In the event of a change in POS system or software,
Metrologic MS7180 OrbitCG scanner easily updates firmware,
provided free by Metrologic, via its patented MetroSet2
configuration software. To perform configuration updates,
use either a USB or RS232 interface.
CodeGate technology, with the push of single button,
augments the Metrologic MS7180 OrbitCG scanner’s patented
20-line aggressive scan pattern with a single-line mode
ideal for targeted or menu scanning. In addition, this
scanner’s shape enables hand-held scanning of large, bulky
items. The scanning head, which can be tilted within a 30°
range, accommodates objects of various sizes and shapes,
adding flexibility.
Standard features include integration of an EAS antenna
for tag deactivation, power save mode, data editing, and
OPOS/JPOS compatibility for easy installation and
user-replaceable cables.
