Fully rugged with powerful functionality
The LXE VX5 is a Windows based vehicle-mount computer
with an Intel Mobile Pentium III processor. This unit is
powerful enough to support multiple applications and
rugged enough to operate in extreme environments
including extended temperature ranges of -22°F to 122°F.
Additionally, the LXE VX5 is protected against water and
dust with its IP66 rating and is designed to withstand
fork truck shock and vibration with full rubber
isolation technology. In other words, the LXE VX5 offers
the functionality of a laptop with an enclosure that's
tough enough to ensure reliability in harsh
environments.
Extensive, flexible, and easy-to-operate features
The LXE VX5 offers a 12.1" TFT high-bright SVGA color
display for enhanced indoor/outdoor viewing. With front
panel brightness control, the LXE VX5 allows for simple
and fast brightness modifications as operators move
between indoor and outdoor operations. And, the optional
LXE "laptop style" QWERTY keyboard offers large,
ruggedized dual-color backlit keys for increased
visibility and gloved hand operation. Additionally, the
keyboard sports a built-in mouse for effortless screen
navigation.
Future-proofed with terminal emulation options
LXE offers terminal emulation support with the VX5
allowing seamless migration from terminal emulation
applications to Windows based GUI or browser based
applications without buying new hardware. Additionally,
the LXE VX5 is 802.11g ready. So, when you're ready to
upgrade, you'll simply need to swap out the computer's
radio. The LXE VX5's support of RFTerm® and its 802.11g
readiness, translates into a longer product life and a
better return on your initial hardware investment.
