Intelligent Queuing and Execution
The Loftware Connector works with the
LPS to drive industrial-strength RFID
technology barcode label printing. Off-loading thousands of printing
requests to hundreds of barcode label and RFID printers is not a trivial
task. Printers are often miles away and sometimes offline. Label
requests may come faster than barcode and RFID printers can serve them.
Organizations that use LPS with Loftware Connector dodge these hurdles
with intelligent queuing and error recovery capabilities that guarantee
delivery of all print jobs.
Host applications send RFID and barcode label requests to the Connector
as device-independent XML streams, or via our Java API. The Connector
then applies appropriate filter and decision logic and passes the
requests to LPS across a high-speed TCP/IP socket. LPS queues the
requests for delivery to printers and ensures successful completion of
the jobs. The Connector works with LPS to perform these tasks in a
high-speed, multi-tasking environment, making it an excellent choice for
ERP, WMS and other enterprise solutions.
Effortless Integration
The Loftware Connector is easy to
integrate into your existing environment with very few modifications to
host applications. In fact, Oracle WMS/MSCA applications require no
custom programming at all and Java J2EE programs can use our JAVA API.
Applications make print requests independent of printer languages and
compliance mandates. They need only specify the label format, (barcode
label, RFID technology, etc.) associated data and target printer.
Loftware Connector, along with LPS, performs the ‘heavy lifting’ of
translating into specific device languages and carrying out RFID and
barcode label printing process.
