Label Wizard
The first time you open design mode in Loftware, the New Label Wizard is displayed, allowing you to create a new label, open a compliance label template for custom editing or open a pre-existing label.

Label Design Mode
Easily create any type of barcode and/or RFID 'Smart' Label using the intuitive Label Design Mode. This feature allows you to configure RFID tags, place and size bar codes, text, line, box and graphic fields on the Designer screen. Select one field or a group of fields on your label and instantly view and/or change field properties. Dynamically select and edit Native and True Type fonts, bar code symbologies, EPC RFID specifications, densities, ratios, and specialized check digits. Quickly and easily define field names, input prompts, operator instructions, help text, non-printing fields, and field positions. Directly assign variable field data sources with a double click of the mouse. Create and edit multiple types of Data Sources.

Simple Printer Configuration
The Printer Configuration Wizard: Configuring printers has never been easier. There are two methods available, the Printer Configuration Wizard or the Printer Configuration Grid. Either way you go, your target printer is set up in seconds. Choose your printer family (manufacturer), the model, and the type of connection you are using (i.e., TCP/IP).

Print International Labels
The Language Properties Wizard allows the printing of any language. If you do not have a printer that is capable of printing double-byte fonts such as Korean, Japanese or other Asian languages, they can still be sent to your printer as a bitmap. This allows you to have as many languages as you want on the same label because you can create any international language field on your label individually. If you have a printer that supports double-byte fonts, you may utilize them natively in Loftware.

Unlimited Design for Increased Efficiency
Unlimited design capabilities: Many users can simultaneously design label formats across LAN/WAN and Internet networks operating in Windows 2000/2003 Server with Terminal Server and Citrix Metaframe environments. One concurrent user license comes standard with each edition permitting the sharing of network attached barcode or Windows printers.

*Terminal Server user seats refers to the number of individual users that may be logged onto a Windows Terminal Server or Citrix Metaframe environment. Terminal Server Seats are based on concurrency if one user logs out that license becomes available to another user. User seats for additional print stations are easily added by specifying part number 04225732-AUS and quantity (you can purchase on line or by calling Loftware directly).

Print On-Demand
On-Demand Print Module: An operator data entry screen is automatically created while you design your label. This form becomes the data entry screen for all "On-Demand" printing tasks. To print labels, simply click on the On-Demand printing icon, open a label form and fill in the variable fields from the keyboard or retrieve your data directly from your database. Print labels to printers locally or on your network.

Print a Range of Labels
The Range Print Module allows a range of labels to be printed from any ODBC32-compliant database using a pre-defined, or dynamic SQL query. Ranges can also be specified by using the "Query Assistant" which can eliminate the need to know SQL.

Print a Group of Labels
Batch Print allows the processing of ASCII batch files created from a PC or host computer. Print one label or a group of labels to one or more printers on the network. Batch Print can also access ODBC-32 data sources either exclusively or mixed in with data provided in the file.

Other Basic Features..

Direct TCP/IP link. The Loftware Label Manager delivers additional network connectivity features by remotely attaching network printers directly through TCP/IP Windows Sockets.

Import and Merge files. For expanded flexibility, the Loftware Label Manager lets you import label formats designed in other labeling design packages. Import and merge labels to any supported printer type.

Centrally locate files. Centrally share label formats, serial number files, and databases from any client across your entire LAN/WAN network.

Administration capabilities. Audit your print jobs, view label history, and security features for controlling access.
