The compact, lightweight, and powerful Lava SPH-USB is a perfect travel companion for on-the-road computer users.
The palm-sized, 18 oz external hub serves as a convenient docking station for connecting peripherals to a laptop or a desktop computer.
The Lava SPH-USB connects in a snap to a system's USB port using the supplied USB cable, instantly adding three USB 1.1 downstream ports, one bi-directional parallel port, and one 16550 UART serial port.
The three USB ports can be used for any USB peripheral, the parallel port for connecting a printer or other parallel peripheral, and the serial port for a PDA, or any other serial device.
This Plug and Play, powered hub can be connected and disconnected without powering down the computer. Users can leave all peripherals attached to the hub, disconnect a notebook from it, and leave. Upon returning, users simply have to plug in again for instant access to all their devices.
The Lava SPH-USB supports daisy-chaining. USB daisy-chaining allows up to 127 peripherals and hubs to form an interconnected network.
