The Lava FireHost enables users to add FireWire® capability to any PCI-equipped PC or Mac®.
FireWire® technology is particularly optimized for connecting digital media and high-speed storage devices to a computer.

The Lava FireWire®-enabled FireHost is ideal for those who use various digital devices to create, acquire, store, edit, and distribute digital content.
The board provides users with FireWire®'s fast transfer rates, true Plug and Play, and daisy-chaining capabilities for hassle-free computer connectivity.

The Lava FireHost maximizes users' precious system resources by adding two FireWire®ports to a PC or Mac®. Digital cameras, camcorders, and MP3 players connect in a snap to the two ports, enabling the most efficient data transfer.

The Lava FireHost is ideal for use with Lava's FireDrive® - the IDE hard drive enclosure with a FireWire®-to-IDE interface - to ensure maximum compatibility, and the best performance.
