| Step 1 |
Tear off
and discard the 1st ten inches of the SO216 or SO220 labels and
liner. |
 |
| Step 2 |
Open the
label roll compartment located on the top of the labeler by
squeezing the finger grips and pulling upwards on the back of the
transparent label case cover. |
| Step 3 |
Push the
roll of labels between the spring loaded roll holders and into the
label compartment with the labels feeding in a downward direction
from the back of the label roll (toward the rear of the labeler). |
| Step 4 |
Turn the
labeler upside-down and open the bottom cover, which reads "lift to
open" near the back of the bottom cover. |
 |
| Step 5 |
Pull the
platen assembly (black plastic piece with steel roller) up and swing
back towards the labeler handles. |
| Step 6 |
Turn the
labeler right side up and feed the label strip down the back of the
label roll and through the label strip path as shown until the label
strip protrudes from the bottom. It should come out the bottom in
front of the platen. Close the transparent label case cover. |
 |
| Step 7 |
Turn the
labeler over (upside down) again. Pull the label strip slightly
snug. Continue to hold the label strip while you close or push the
platen back into original position. |
 |
| Step 8 |
Hold the
platen firmly closed and activate the handle 5 to 10 times. The
label strip should advance smoothly and the drive wheel inside the
labeler should punch out the feed notches. Activate the handle until
the holes are punched. |
| Step 9 |
Position
the label strip end so that the notches will line up with exposed
pegs on the drive wheel. |
 |
| Step 10 |
Close
bottom cover & push firmly on "push to close" area until it clicks. |
 |
| Step 11 |
The loading
process should be complete at this time. Test the label feed by
activating the handle a few times until labels are presented
correctly just below the rubber roller at the front of the labeler &
until the liner protrudes from the back of the labeler without
labels attached to it. |
