ID TECH VersaMag™ Intelligent Swipe Reader for Magnetic Stripes with Optional Bar Code Capability
Reads magnetic stripes.
The ID TECH VersaMag reads and decodes up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. Keyboard and RS-232 interfaces are available. An adjustable beeper and multi-color LED indicator signal a successful read.Edits and formats data.
The ID TECH VersaMag can be programmed to divide, rearrange, edit, and validate fields of scanned data. In addition, it allows for up to 16 preamble or postamble characters. Windows-based configuration software is included for easy, on-screen programming of "magnetics-only" models with serial interface.Supports bar code scanning.
By attaching an undecoded laser, CCD, wand, or slot scanner to a ID TECH VersaMag with the optional bar code capability, the same unit can decode scanned bar code data, as well as read and decode magnetic stripe media.Performs quickly and reliably.
