Precision Weighing and Parts Counting Features

The GSE Model 574 includes a variety of standard features to accommodate all weighing counting scale applications. An operator can choose from one of three different sampling routines. Auto-enhancement of the average piece weight ensures maximum counting accuracy. The Percent Accuracy mode will not allow the calculation of an average piece weight unless the desired count accuracy is achieved. If desired, the sample accuracy can be displayed to the operator. Load cell filtering and the exclusive Error Factor mode compensate for environmental conditions such as vibrations, air current, and varying temperatures.

Programmable Macro Language
All 500 series instruments are programmable using the GSE Macro programming language. Macros are operating programs created to control a specific application. Macros are used for: operator prompting, math calculations (SPC calucations), database functions (recall, store) and formula batching just to name a few examples. The 550 indicator offers 17 individual macros that can be programmed to perform a simple specific task (perform a tare function, print a ticket then activate an output) or multiple macros can be programmed as subroutines to a principal routine in a complicated batching application.

Programmable RS232 Communications
Four independent custom transmit tables permit the RS232 output to be configured for any format required by a printer, computer, remote display or any serial device. Two(2) RS232 serial ports, (1) bi-directional port, and (1) uni-directional or 20mA current loop are available to send the custom transmit tables. This innovative feature permits communication with a variety of serial devices for systems integration.

High Precision Sample Scale
Each 574 counting scale comes standard with a 20, 50, or 100 pound local scale. An optional High Precision 2 lb. Sample Scale can be installed in the standard enclosure, and/or additional scales can be setup as remote platforms. Scale capacities can range from 0.5 to 999,999 lbs. For extremely high precision applications an analytical balance can be interfaced using bi-directional RS 232 communications.

Database Module
Two (2) database module sizes are available in 24K or 120K. The database modules are used to manage critical application information. Sixteen (16) independent databases allow the used to specify up to 14 columns (fields) or information per row (record). The data is managed by a set of 18 database functions such as: store, recall, print, upload, download, clear, update, etc. Database modules include a non-volatile Time/Date clock.

Positive and Negative Accumulations
Positive or negative accumulation allows quantities to either be added or subtracted from a total. This function is designed to monitor inventory movement for a single part with out using a database program. The accumulated total can be edited or cleared at any time, and a counter tracks how many transactions were summed to arrive at the total.
