* The basic PCCharge Pro package includes the ability to add one merchant number. There may be a fee to add additional merchant numbers.

Fraud protection

  • Exclusive MSV™ (Magnetic Strip Verification) validates the magnetic account information by matching the embossed account number
  • CVV2 reduces chargebacks by as much as 26%, verifying that the card values on the front match those on the back of the card
  • AVS (Address Verification Services) is an industry standard known for its effectiveness in reducing loss
  • Cashier level password protection provides controlled permissions Verifone PCCharge allows you to encrypt and protect the consumer's credit card account numbers and expiration date in the program database
  • Compliant with California Senate Bill 930, ensuring "secure" receipts

Verifone PCCharge Pro System requirements

You must have the following:

  • PC with Windows™ 98, XP, 2000, or NT
  • 32 MB minimum of RAM, 64 MB preferred
  • 15-30 MB free space on hard drive recommended
  • Hayes compatible modem (capable of 1200 baud or less) with a phone line OR an Internet connection
  • CD-ROM drive
  • Merchant Account
  • 200 MHz or higher processor

We also recommend that you install the latest version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer, no matter how you connect to your processor. Some processors require Internet Explorer version 6 or later to be installed in order to process transactions. Internet Explorer is more than just an Internet browser; it actually upgrades your operating system.

  • Windows compatible receipt printer

SSL Requirements
Depending on your payment processing company, connection type, and operating system, you may need to install some upgrades/enhancements to your operating system. Some processing companies are beginning to process transactions via SSL2 (a highly secure Internet protocol).
