Opticon FTS-3120 Series CCD Fixed Position Bar Code ScannerThe Opticon FTS-3120 Series wide window CCD scanners are designed specifically to offer flexibility in selecting a focal distance for the particular application. The Opticon FTS-3120 Series can read low density bar codes at 2.5 inches with a field of view of nearly 5 inches.

The small size and optional optical configurations allow the Opticon FTS-3120 Series to fit into tight spaces. In addition, the Opticon FTS-3120 Series scanners are available in either front or side view configurations with optional scan speeds up to 50 scans per second.

Operating on 5 VDC power, these Opticon FTS-3120 Series scanners automatically recognize and decode all of the most popular bar code symbologies and transmit the decoded data using RS232C communications to the host device. User programmable parameters permit the scanner to be matched to the specific application.

A rugged steel enclosure protects the optics and electronics from dirt and other environmental hazards while enhancing ESD and EMD protection.

The standard configuration comes with a 6-ft. cable, terminated in a 25-pin female D-shell connector. Custom cable lengths, connector types and pin-outs are available.

Plug-in RF adapters that are powered from the RS232 signal convert the scanner and host into a versatile, long distance (up to 500 feet), non-wired unit. See our web site for details.

The scanner has no moving parts. The 100% solid state design assures continuous performance and enhanced reliability. The linear CCD array allows the scanner to read poor quality and dimly lit bar codes.
