Fargo Pro-LX Card
Laminating Printer / Encoder
The world's leading
printer/encoder for secure, laminated cards.
The FARGO Pro-LX offers
the ideal printing and laminating solution for your demanding security
applications.
Not all laminating card printers are created equal. We know, because we
invented the first one. Today, FARGO is making the best even better.
Introducing the new Pro-LX, the world’s most capable, reliable,
laminating card printer/encoder.
Rugged, reliable cards from a rugged, reliable printer.
Unlike many printers, the Pro-LX can laminate both sides of a card,
providing maximum durability and protection from abrasion, color fading,
and dye-migration. Plus, FARGO’s exclusive PolyGuard™ overlaminate is up
to 25 times more durable than standard protective overlays. This saves
you money by reducing the need to issue new cards. When using PolyGuard
with custom holographic images, you get the most secure, durable cards
available.
Used
alone or connected to multiple stations via the printer’s optional
networking capabilities, the Pro-LX is ideal for continuous-print
applications. Among its time-saving features are sensors that can
identify printing and encoding errors, automatically separate a faulty
card into the Reject Card Hopper, and continue printing without
interruption!
High-speed, high-quality
printing will take you to the edge.
No more large white borders or fuzzy pictures! With 300 dpi resolution
and edge-to-edge printing, the image quality of the Pro-LX is the
highest of its kind.
It’s
also the fastest. With 4MB of standard memory, the Pro-LX can print
laminated cards at industry-leading speeds, making it ideal for
high-volume environments. It can print and laminate a full color card in
less than 40 seconds. Plus, when batch printing, the Pro-LX prints one
card while simultaneously laminating another — allowing it to produce up
to 120 single-sided, laminated cards per hour.
SmartGuard™ is the “key”
to stopping counterfeit cards.
Stop unauthorized use of your card printing system with SmartGuard. This
printer security feature controls access to your Pro-LX by allowing only
authorized persons with a custom access card, or “key,” to print cards.
SmartShield™ provides added security at an affordable cost.
FARGO’s patented SmartShield card security capability is built into the
Pro-LX, and into your cards. SmartShield allows you to print custom
transparent images onto cards without the need for custom holographic
PolyGuard. The transparent SmartShield image is visible only when viewed
at an angle or under an ultra-violet light source. You get additional,
customized security in an affordable, tamper-resistant card.
Encoding makes cards more functional.
Want to add more functionality to your cards? Encoding options allow you
to use your cards for access control, time and attendance, cashless
vending and more. Magnetic stripe and smart card options can be
integrated into the Pro-LX, making it an easy-to-use ”one-pass” system.
An unparalleled combination of durability and security.
The Pro-LX is loaded with benefits you won’t find in any other
laminating card printer. When you need highly durable, secure cards and
a highly reliable, secure system, you need the FARGO Pro-LX.

**Print speed indicates an approximate batch print speed and is measured
from the time a card feeds into the printer to the time it ejects from
the printer. Print speeds do not include encoding time or the time
needed for the PC to process the image. Process time is dependent on the
size of the file, the CPU, amount of RAM and the amount of available
resources at the time of the print. (Note that single card print speeds
will be slower than the batch print speeds listed above since batch
print speed is enhanced by the printer's multi-tasking capabilities when
printing multiple cards in succession.)
