The new definition of card personalization excellence. Introducing FARGO’s HDP800 Series Card Printer/Encoders, featuring our one-of-a-kind High Definition Printing™ (HDP®) technology. This revolutionary process prints images onto special HDP Film that fuses to the surface of a card through heat and pressure. When combined with FARGO’s advanced encoding and lamination technology, the Fargo HDP800 Series offers the ultimate solution for high-end and critical card security applications.

Detailed print quality that’s over-the-edge. The print quality of HDP technology is unsurpassed. The Fargo HDP800 Series prints 16.7 million colors at 300 dpi for outstanding image clarity and depth. It prints to the edge of any size smart chip, as well as over-the-edge of your card, giving you professional-quality prints with no white borders.

Tamper-resistant printing on nearly any card. The Fargo HDP prints graphics and text on the underside of the HDP Film, sandwiching the image between the durable film and the card, for secure cards that are virtually tamperproof. And only the Fargo HDP800 Series lets you print on cards sized from CR-80 up to CR-100. You can even print on cards with irregular surfaces, like clamshell proximity cards.

Unsurpassed e-card encoding capabilities. Only the Fargo HDP800 Series can encode up to three different e-card technologies plus a magnetic stripe on a single card — all in one pass! It prints and encodes/reads standard e-card types, including contact smart cards, contactless smart cards and proximity cards. It’s your one-step solution for access control, time and attendance, cafeteria, vending applications and more.

Revolutionary Card Lamination Module makes it easy to have durable and secure cards. And only FARGO offers you the option of adding lamination — even after you’ve made your purchase! You can order an Fargo HDP800 Series printer/encoder with the Card Lamination Module factory-installed. Or, order the standard HDP820 or HDP825 and add the module when your needs grow. It applies overlaminate to the front and/or back of most cards in the same pass as the printing and encoding! Plus, FARGO’s clear and holographic PolyGuard Overlaminates provide up to 25 times more protection than standard overlays.

High Definition printer/encoders transfer crisp, photo-quality images onto the underside of special HDP Film, using 300 dpi and 16.7 million colors. Because of this technology that sandwiches images between HDP Film and the card, you can:
