FARGO ID CARD PRINTERS AND SUPPLIES

About Fargo CardJet printing technology

Fargo CardJet Printing™ technology is an emerging, fast-growing method of ID card production.

Using a highly specialized Hewlett-Packard inkjet-based print engine, Fargo CardJet printers transfer color and monochrome Fargo CardJet Inks to specially formulated CR-80 size Fargo CardJet Cards. Fargo CardJet’s thermal inkjet printing process heats the ink, generating vapor bubbles that are ejected in small drops through nozzles in the Fargo CardJet Ink Cartridge. Drops are precisely placed on specially coated Fargo CardJet Cards to form text and images. Fargo CardJet Ink bonds and dries instantly, producing photo-quality, full-color images that run over the edge of cards. The printers use 600 (inkjet) dpi for razor sharp graphics, text and bar codes. Printed cards stand up well to abrasion, dye-migration and UV fading. The Fargo CardJet printing process itself is quiet and reliable.
