Strata peel option now available!

With this option, the printer will automatically remove the label backing while printing when the label backing is routed through the peel mechanism. The discarded label backing flows down in front of the printer, for later disposal. The peel and dispense option is available in both LP (direct thermal) and TLP (thermal transfer) models.

How do I activate the peel options?
Route the label backing through the peel mechanism and turn the switch on the rear of the printer from "Batch" to "Peel".

What does the rear switch do?
The switch will activate the label sensor when turned to "Peel". Then printing a series of labels, the sensor will pause the printer between each label, waiting until the operator removes it before printing the next label. This will inhibit the labels from adhering to one another as they print.

What media can I use with the peel and dispense option?
The peel option works with the Zebra approved paper label media that meets the following specifications:

  • Minimum width: 4 inches
  • Maximum width: 8.5 inches
  • Minimum length: .5 inch
  • Maximum label length is dependent on printer memory

Can I use synthetic media?
The current peel mechanism is not specified for synthetic media. Some synthetics will work but the results may be inconsistent. Future versions of the peel mechanism will support Zebra approved synthetic media peeling.
