DENSO BHT-5000 Data Collector

Magic keys- easier and more efficient
Handy terminal comes with two magic keys to which various functions can be assigned for increased efficiency. For instance, frequently assigned usages are as a trigger switch during bar code reading and/or as an ENT key.

Wider bar code reading
When touch scanning, the bar code with a width up to 70mm wide can be read. If the scanner is held a short distance away from the bar code, the code with a width of up to 280mm (11.0") can be scanned. In addition, with this model, visibility of the bar code reading guide light has been enhanced. The bar code with a width under 1.2mm (47.2mils) can be read at a scanning distance of 200mm (7.9") and ambient brightness of 500 luxes (fluorescent lighting).

Large LCD
The number of characters that can be displayed has been increased by 2.6 when compared to the BHT-2000. Back light function is also provided as standard feature.

Choice of two power supply ensure longer operation
Power supply can be selected from either a nickel-hydrogen battery cartridge or two 1.5V sized AA batteries. The rechargeable battery cartridge lasts for approx. 20 hours whilst the AA batteries last 100 hours of operation (when reading bar code twice per 10 seconds)

High operability
In enhancing easier use, the slim grip fits more comfortably into the operator's hand. Moreover, the handy terminal is highly stain resistant.

Extended memory facility.

Flash ROM available for use as user area
Flash ROM, 128 kbytes, can be optionally added to the user area to store your application program.

Peripheral Equipment

CU-5001 optical-communication unit with charger
Recharging is possible by placing the handy terminal on the CU-5001. A spare nickel-hydrogen battery is recharged by placing in the appropriate slot.

CU-5002 optical-communication unit
Power can be supplied from a communication line of the RS232C interface, thus eliminating the need for a power supply such as an AC adapter or battery.

CU-5003 multiple-connection optical communication unit
In addition to the functions of the CU-5001, a maximum of 32 communication units can be connected to one another via the RS-485 interface, as well as over long distances (1.2km max). Thus enabling your system to manage diverse tasks with the highest efficiency.
