The latest Microsoft embedded Operating System provides an open architecture for application development.

802.11b/g Wireless Compatible
The BHT-400 series is compatible with 802.11b/g standards. As part of your network infrastructure, the BHT-400 series can run applications in real time. It handles emulation, device management, and wireless network printing. It is also compatible to most 802.11b/g access points.

Linear Barcode Imager
The BHT-400 series uses the advanced Denso CCD imager as its scan engine. With a laser scan marker and vibration the BHT-400 series features ease of use and confirmation of scanned barcodes.

High Durability
The CCD scan engine has no moving parts ensuring superior durability. Shock Resistant to withstand multiple 5 ft. drops from 1.2m onto concrete, and sealed against water and dust to IP54 international standard.

Multiple Communication
The BHT-400 Series offers multiple communication options. Communications include USB, IRDA 1.2, and wireless sync.

Memory
The BHT-400 Series features 64MB RAM and 64MB ROM (32 MB Flash User Area available) offering plenty of storage for all your applications.

Warranty
The BHT-400 Series has the best out of the box warranty in the industry! It has a 1 year warranty on LCD and selected manufactures radio card and a 3 year warranty on all other electronic components.

Wireless Security
The BHT-400 Series supports WEP and WPA wireless security. Other features include support of 802.11x authentication including PEAP and TLS. LEAP is also supported with third party software from Meetinghouse.

Bluetooth®
The BHT-400 Series supports Bluetooth® for wireless connections to multiple devices such as mag stripe readers and portable printers.

Keyboard Wedge Software (KbifCE)
The kbifCE is a keyboard interface software built into the device. Using the kbifCE users can scan barcodes and/or input data without programming software for the device.

Compact Flash Slot
Features extra storage capacity or the ability to run multiple programs.

Readable barcodes
Supported barcodes are EAN-8/13, UPC-A/E, UPC/EAN with add-on, Interleaved 2 of 5, Code 39, Codabar, Code 93, Code 128, EAN-128 Standard 2 of 5, MSI.
Development tools include Microsoft® eMbedded™ Visual C++4.0 (SP1 or later) and Software Developer's Kit(SDK). SDK can be downloaded from our website.
