General Description
Datalogic Dataplus is a family of decoders studied to virtually cover all the data collection applications in both office-like and industrial environments, and solve with their extreme flexibility your needs of barcode data capture.
In particular Datalogic Dataplus 8000 is wedge decoder capable to interface optic pens, CCD readers, laser scanners, optic and magnetic card readers to a number of different terminals and personal computers, simply by choosing the suitable cable and selecting the correct interface number from the supplied manual.
In this model, when it is set in "wedge mode", barcode data scanned by the reader is input as if it were typed directly on the keyboard, not requiring then any modification of the application software running on the Host.
Two readers can be connected to Datalogic Dataplus 8000 simultaneously, and serial auxiliary port enables external devices as portable data collection systems, scales, printer to be connected to the Host in a wedge mode.
A "pass through" connection is also available to connect your reading device to either one or both the Host and the Terminal, letting them continue to communicate between themselves.
Datalogic Dataplus 9000 is complete data collection terminal designed to allow the barcode decoding and data transmission via serial EIA RS232 communication (std. and "pass through"), EIA RS422, 20 mA current loop as well as LAN connection via RS485 using MUX32 multiplexer.
An auxiliary interface port is available to connect optical pens, barcode and magnetic card readers, while the main input accepts laser scanners, CCD readers, optical pens and card readers.
The decoded data and messages coming from the Host or the auxiliary port can be shown on Dataplus 9000 display (optional).
Dataplus decoder are fully programmable by barcode menu or via RS232. They support the decoding of the most common symbologies and can be configured to auto-discriminate up to 5 codes simultaneously.
