The Compsee Apex VM-1 fixed-mount terminal was designed
with industrial features - so industrial that it was a
natural for use in applications like forklifts and other
material handling vehicles. RF Ethernet wireless network
connectivity, waterproof shock and vibration mounting
accessories, and power supplies suitable for vehicles -
gasoline, diesel, natural gas, or all-electric - are
available, so you can install this terminal on virtually
any vehicle. The industrial case - with VGA screen, full
keyboard and weatherproof sealing - along with
state-of-the-art Windows CE operating system and all the
additional features that you have come to expect from
Compsee are included. And unlike so many other
vehicle-mount terminals, this one is industrial AND

Two RS232 ports standard
The Vehicle-mount Apex VM-1 comes RF Ethernet-ready.
Simply install one of the supported IEEE802.11b PCMCIA
wireless Ethernet cards - including Symbol Spectrum-24
and Cisco/Aironet, among others - and connect the
antenna cable to the card. Use the included antenna, or
connect your vehicle-mounted antenna to the terminal's
antenna mount.
Display Options
Your choice of integral backlit LCD displays:
Monochrome VGA (640 pixels wide by 240 pixels high)
backlit LCD is standard
Color VGA 640x240 backlit LCD is optional
Terminals with monochrome screens are particularly well
suited for outdoor applications and in direct lighting
situations. The monochrome LCD is a reflective
technology with very high contrast when viewed in direct
light.
Operational temperature range is determined by the
display option chosen. Without the display heater, the
temperature range for monochrome is -10°C to 50°C; color
is 10°C to 40°C.
