Designed to enhance the convenience and flexibility of
Compsee Apex II operations.
Communications cradle
Cost effective option for storage, data transmission and
battery charging. At the end of a shift, merely place
the Apex II in its cradle and initiate the upload. Not
only is the unit now stored safely and the data that was
collected uploaded to the PC, but it is also charging
the internal battery and prepared for a download of data
for the next day's tasks.
Protective covers
Protect your Compsee Apex II from daily wear and tear.
The padded nylon cover protects the Compsee Apex II from
damage and shock, while the clear window of flex vinyl
over the keyboard provides protection from the elements
- rain, dirt, and dust.
Holster and belt
While keeping the Compsee Apex II close and handy for
instant use, the belt and holster provide a safe,
convenient, storage area for the operator.
Internal modem
For applications requiring remote data transfer,
communications via a modem is the solution. As an
alternative to the standard RS232 communications
interface, the user can transmit data with the Compsee
Apex II's optional internal 2400 baud modem.
Communications Cradle
Storage
Designed specifically with the Compsee Apex II user in
mind, the communications cradle is constructed from
industrial, high-strength poly-carbonate-blend plastic,
making the cradle a safe and clean "home" area for the
Apex II, either in an office or on the shop floor.
Upload/Download from the Apex II
The communications cradle makes the routine operation of
transmitting data and/or programs to and from the PC
efficient, user-friendly and expedient. The operator can
initiate data transmissions from either the PC or the
Apex II in the cradle.
Battery Recharging
Not only can the battery inside the Compsee Apex II be
recharged while it is in the cradle, a back-up battery
can also be charged in the external battery charging
port. If time is a factor, consider that the internal
battery station recharges a battery in approximately six
hours, while external battery station recharges take
only 1 1/2 to 2 hours to accomplish the task.
Protective Covers
Custom designed for the Compsee Apex II, the padded,
nylon construction of the protective cover provides
shock-absorbent, scuff-proof protection. The clear
window of flex vinyl over the keyboard lets the operator
view the display and access the keyboard as needed. This
cover is ideal for use outdoors and in rough
environments such as shop floors, loading docks,
warehouses and more.
Protective covers are available for both the Standard
Apex II and the Apex II with the integrated laser
module.
Holster and Belt
Custom designed for the Apex II, the holster is
constructed of long-wearing leather and simply attaches
to the comfortable, military-style nylon web belt. When
tucked into the holster, the Apex is secure and
protected, while leaving the operator's hands free to
perform other tasks...a perfect time-saving accessory
for any Apex.
Internal Modem
Custom designed for the Apex II, the 2400 bps internal
modem provides asynchronous communications through a
standard 4-pin RJ-11 telephone jack conveniently located
on the Apex II's back cover. The internal modem features
MNP10 error correction and data compression, along with
V.42bis data compression. The user communicates with the
modem using BASIC commands.
