The functions of a keyboard, magnetic stripe card reader and intelligent barcode decoder in a single data input system- our Cherry G81-7000 and Cherry G81-8000 Series magnetic stripe card reader keyboards. These keyboards are ideal for all forms of data entry via magnetic stripe cards and barcodes - e.g. in the hotel and hospitality trade, in the travel industry or for banks and insurance companies.
Key benefits
Data is transferred between keyboard and system through the keyboard; no other interfaces are required. The advantage: despite involving several components only one interface is used. That saves on costs and additional driver software.

- Capable of reading any ISO 7812-compliant magnetic stripe card

Programmable keys
In most of our magnetic stripe card reading keyboards, certain function keys (as described in the relevant manual) can be programmed with up to 16 characters each.
Keys can be programmed manually or with the aid of Cherry's configuration software.
