the CardCom ViAge CAV-3500 is able to read government issued
drivers license and identification cards in North America,
which use either magnetic stripe or barcode (1D & 2D)
technology. With one swipe, the CardCom ViAge displays the
AGE and DATE of BIRTH of the cardholder, eliminating the
guesswork and long customer lines. It also reads the ID#,
Name, DOB, and other pertinent information.
With the integration of Symbol Technologies Cyclone scan
engine, the CardCom ViAge CAV-3500 is a fast and reliable
POS scanner with an RS-232 built-in communication port. The
CardCom ViAge CAV-3500 interfaces with most POS systems via
a variety of Symbol synapse smart cables.
 The CardCom ViAge CAV-3500 is portable and ergonomically
designed giving you the flexibility to perform POS scanning
or ID checking functions at various point of sale locations.
In addition, it stores ID data, allowing you to maintain a
database.
