The 554 USBPro™ interface is a HID (Human Interface Device) compliant Plug and Play interface. It allows the customer more control over the operation of the cash drawer. Microsoft provides USB HID support in Win98SE, WinME, Win2000, and WinXP*.

Specific features and associated benefits include:

  • Ease of installation/service
    True universal Plug and Play connectivity
    No need to stock multiple drawers or interface cables
    Removes concerns regarding changing printers or terminals requiring modifications to drawer
    The cash drawer is powered by the USB bus- it does not require external power

  • Reliable operation
    Drivers allow seamless operation with your system
    Cash drawer will send a "not ready" signal back to the host if it doesn't have the adequate charge to kick out drawer.
    Diagnostics lights mounted on I/F board makes troubleshooting easy

  • Security
    Complete control and monitoring of cash drawer function allows for better application logging of system operation
    USB interface prevents unauthorized devices from opening drawer

* The USB interface #554 is compliant with these operating systems however, at this time APG does not have Linux, iMac, or WinCE compatible test applications for the cash drawer.

** Products are shipped with compiled executable test programs or control panel extensions where applicable. Source code is also available for application developers.

Available in Series 100, Series 4000, Classic, Series 6000 and Vasario.
