APG's ParallelPRO interface is not only easy to set up and use, it's versatile too. By combining a rugged, dependable APG cash drawer with the feature-packed ParallelPRO interface, you have an effective solution for any POS parallel interface application from video sales/rental to hair salons to terminal based workstations. The APG ParallelPRO is effective in environments including:

An easy choice
With the APG ParallelPRO, both setup and operation are a snap. Handy DIP switches let you quickly select the desired operating mode (stand alone or shared port) and drawer opening command (one or two ASCII character strings). The programmable drawer command enhances security by supporting user-defined drawer opening sequences for your POS workstations. Helpful indicator lights illuminate to verify power and data received. The "Y" cable provided with every ParallelPRO means shared port applications are "plug and play" right out of the box.

Description
The APG ParallelPRO interface, as part of an APG Classic or S6000C cash drawer, creates the most secure and versatile cash drawer for parallel applications. Its unique design allows it to be programmed to your specific opening character sequence with the use of easily accessible DIP switches on the bottom of the drawer. This programmability combined with the provided "Y" cable allows the drawer to share a port with additional cash drawers or with another parallel device such as a printer.

Parallel "Y" Cable
Molded cable is detachable from the cash drawer
-A 60" cable, terminated with a DB25M connector, connects to the parallel port of the host device.

Connectors are marked with intended connection descriptor.
